As a Christian, when you hear about those in church of Ephesus speaking in other tongues than which Paul could understand as he laid his hands on them, do you align yourself with the 500 million Pentecotals today, or do you align yourself with simply the body of Christ in noting here that people of other languages can receive the Holy Spirit also and express audibly with words of understanding to those that know the language?

Do not be fickle about this. The Bible is saying something certain here. It is not both, for the meaning is excplicit in Acts 19.6 It's one or the other. What say you? The tares may be one side and the wheat the other side. Ask yourself if Satan wanted to bring in the most cunning deception into the Church, what method do you think he would use? Where in Scriptures could he find a place to deceive Christians or even worse, causing some to come into a baptism of the evil spirit contrary to the baptism in v.5, and actually not be born-again. As the baptism was fake so was the new birth.
