The first parable speaks to the multitude, but addresses the matter of loss of rewards for the saved. Remember, the kingdom of heaven includes saved and unsaved: both the tares who try to look like the wheat and the saved wheat. The second parable clearly is speaking to Christians for the king is Jesus to His servants, the saved. The wedding garment is the robe of righteousness of Christ. The man does not want to wear it because he prefers his own works instead of works led by the Holy Spirit. He is saved, but he wants to do it his way. It is the same with the saved man who has the one talent, he wants to do it his way, so he will lose rewards. Just as in Luke 8, there are lose who lose rewards of the millennial reign of Christ over localities. Many think they have rewards coming to them, but they will be cast into outer darkness and lose rewards. I tell you the truth.
The five foolish virgins are most definitely saved for they have the same oil of the Holy Spirit. I could name you at least 15 other reasons they are saved (http://www3.telus.net/trbrooks/Matthew_25.htm). They are virgins too, the same class: the saved. They shall lose rewards in outer darkness. They still have oil but it is not filled up. Their outward works as designated by the lamp which has not been filled up the Holy Spirit. The five wise virgins told the truth, but the unwise virgins were too late. They could have been quicker if willing. You should not wait all your life to walk in the spirit. If you continue to smother your spirit with your soul, you will lose rewards, even if you are saved. The lesson of the virgins is to keep the conduct of Matthew 5-7.
