Those who practice gibberish babble, or even those that don't but believe in it, are not Christians (e.g. Matt. J Slick, unsaved Calvinist believes in gibberish babble but says he doesn't practice it). They have never been born-again. Not only does it divide the body of Christ with the haves and have nots, but it will make you go insane.
These false tongues feed your pride and attempts to make inferior second class Christians which you use to make yourself think you are better than others. It is to build yourself up and make yourself seem important, more spiritual, and to make a name for yourself. The gift of tongues is not to build up the individual but the Church.
