Christmas is for Atheists, Deists, Calvinists and Other Faiths

"Do not start following pagan religious practices.... For the customs of the people are vain: for one cuts down a tree.... They decorate it with gold and silver and then fasten it securely with hammer and nails so it won’t fall over...." (Jer. 10.2-4). The words "green tree" appear 12 times in the Old Testament and in every case used in association with pagan idol worship.

Especially abominable are "worshiping demons and idols of gold and silver and bronze and stone and wood, which cannot either see or hear or walk" (Rev. 9.20). Worshiping idols is worshiping that what people made, while worshiping demons is worshiping what God has created but has fallen. The idol mentioned in Rev. 13.15 is able to speak.

"And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak, and cause that as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed" (Rev. 13.15). The world is going to have to be in seriously dire condition for this to take effect. "For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be" (Matt. 24.21).

Kirk Cameron defends Christmas. And he's a Calvinist so he is not a Christian. What this means is that he believes his god irresistibly made him saved and that others were passed over (preterition), not given the opportunity to be saved. Kirk would say the reason a person does not accept Christ (assuming he never will) is because God passed him over and did not give him sufficient grace to have the free choice. What love is that?

I see the consistency in the corrupted thinking of Kirk Cameron. At least he's consistent.
