We observe trillions of cause and effects in nature, and no hard evidence of something from nothing (that is, non-existence), but if there was an eternity of the past of cause and effects, you would have had, by that very definition, an eternity to come into being before now, so you should have already happened. Thus, nature, logically speaking, needs a cause outside of itself, outside of time and space, being uncreated whom we call God. Now the challenge before you is to find out where God has revealed Himself to determine which religion is the correct one since God does not contradict Himself, for that which contradicts itself is false.
About 6000 years ago God breathed in the breath of life directly creating man's spirit and when the spirit made contact with the body from dust over 13.7 billion years (Gen. 2.7), man became a living soul with a spirit and a body (Heb. 4.12). God is Triune, and man is tripartite. What does this mean exactly? It means that this was the first person who had God-consciousness in their spirit -- an awareness of God's existence. Furthermore, it is also condition of a living soul that can never cease to exist because all men and women are made in God's image which can never cease to exist. Therefore, they shall be resurrected either to everlasting life or to Hell which is an eternal separation from their Creator as they wish by accepting or rejecting what Jesus did for us.
