View Full Version : Why are People Fat?

Luke

People are fat for two reasons: 1) gluttony and sloth, and 2) not all calories are the same.

Fructose is in everything nowadays. What is a person to do? It's not easy. Your environment is killing you slowly day by day. Satan is the god of this world and working through bad policies set by the government. The government usually does everything wrong. What appears good at first turns out to be bad unwittingly. The capitalist lobbied for these bad policies for profit. Neither socialism nor capitalism is the solution, but the millennial kingdom is the solution. In other words, a theocracy. And not any theocracy, but a theocracy in which Jesus returns to reign on earth with His overcomers (Jude 14,15; Rev. 2.26,27; 20.4-6) which will begin either this or next decade.

You must engage your free will to do what you know you need to do. And in order to do that effectively, you need the strength in your spirit, soul and body. In order to gain that strength the Holy Spirit must work in your spirit which feeds strength to the soul and body. How do you increase the strength in your spirit? Before you get out of bed read the Bible for one hour and read The Spiritual Man for one hour on the dividing of your spirit, soul and body (http://www3.telus.net/trbrooks/SMCFP.htm). Most everyone in the world trying to lose weight are failing. And it doesn't matter if they are the least knowledgeable or most knowledgeable, they are still failing studies show. The solution, therefore, is not a matter of knowledge, but inner strength, and not just any kind of inner strength, but that afforded by the Holy Spirit if you are born-again. So very few people are even born-again so you can see why almost everyone is failing. Unless you are willing to cultivate a relationship with God through His Son by the Spirit in reading His Word, you will fail. And if you do succeed for awhile, failure is right around the corner study after study show. Sin is just shifting temporarily from one aspect of your life to another while never dealing with the heart of the matter.

This is a war. What is good for the food industry (notice I didn't say just fast food) is bad for you. And what is good for you is bad for the fast food industry in terms of profits. This is a war. And the only way to win a war is to fight. The food industry is fighting against your health by putting fructose into everything. I think it is still safe, for now, to eat frozen vegetables but that's about it.

As Robert H. Lustig, M.D. said, even knowing all this he himself is having a hard time losing weight so what do you do? I can only speak from my experience.

The war of reaching optimal weight for optimal health is as follows.

When I dropped from 204 (high of 220) down to 180 I did it losing 1 lb. every 3 days. I was draconian towards my flesh - some days under 1000 calories. I couldn't keep up that pace emotionally so I determined the required calories to lose 1/2 lb. every 2 days or 1 lb. ever 4 days (see attached). With this easier approach, I briefly hit a low of 162 wake up weight (intraday low of 159). Since then several months ago, I have slowly gone up and up so that I am having a hard time even having a wake up weight of 170 (intraday high of 176) that I woke up at this morning. So what's the solution? Studies have shown (see above videos) after six months people begin to start putting it back on and more.

You have to change how you play the game as the conditions change. I am no longer at my end zone or 10 yard line on the field approaching the 50 yard line. I am near my opponent's end zone, but the game is more difficult at that stage to make the touchdown (my original analogy). You have to change your game plan. It is essential.

Continue as I have to use the formula attached and log all your calories on excel daily - it's still calories in and calories out.

Still using the very precise formula attached my plan now is to lose 1 lb. just once a week. For me that is 12,817 calories per week or 1,831 per day playing racquetball twice a week and lifting weights once a week.

So if by lunch I am already exceeding this number, the key to the whole thing is I am not allowed to eat again till I wake up the morning. That's the secret. This suffering aspect is central. No pain no gain! You sin by being slothful and gluttonous, there is payback if God is a righteous God.

You can eat anything you want, just abide in the numbers. Though you would make it easier on yourself if you avoid fructose products and breads and diet pop, etc. Eat your vegetables raw if you can so you get the full impact of the fiber like nuclear rods that slow down the nuclear reaction. The environment is toxic so it is not entirely your fault you can't overcome immediately, but through your life you should finally reach your optimal weight as I will by July.

My goal: wake up weight (15 lbs. away) to be reached by July 25, 2013 wake up weight at 155 (intraday high of 160).

My friend thanked me on Monday for mentioning he has to lose 10 lbs. more after he already lost 10 lbs., because he said he wouldn't have lost the second 10 lbs. it if I didn't implore him to do so. He didn't start losing the weight till I mentioned the first 10 lbs. he had to lose for starters. The reason fat people can't lose weight is because nobody reminds them about it and they are self-righteous about it when you challenge them or get them to examine their closet. Humility is the key, because being fat at the end of the day is sinful gluttony and sloth. Satan is surely behind this, but God has given us the power in Christ to overcome the evil spirit. And I judge myself first before I judge anyone. The fact that I am still not at 155 lbs. wake up weight is pissing me off to no end, and I am getting steamed enough about it to get there by July.

See attached.

I think I am suggesting the secret is that if you are unable to lose 1 lb. every 3 days then try 1 lb. every 4 days. If you keep sabatoging yourself then try 1 lb. per week. You know exactly what the calories are to achieve that. After all you took decades to build up your weight, it might take some time for it to go down.

I am currently at the 1 lb. per week. If this breaks down on me then I will go for 1 lb. every 2 weeks which should be really easy to achieve, but hope it doesn't come to that, because I want to be 155 wake up weight by the end of July (my wake up weight has ballooned lately to 170 lbs. from 162 lbs.).
