John Calvin writes: “Solomon also teaches us that not only was the destruction of the ungodly foreknown, but the ungodly themselves have been created for the specific purpose of perishing (Prov. 16:4).” (Calvin’s New Testament Commentaries: Romans and Thessalonians, pp.207-208).
If John Calvin is not going to Hell then who?
John 16.4 is not saying God made evil, but that God accounts for that evil in His design when people would rebel.
"The LORD has made everything for his own purposes, even the wicked for a day of disaster" (John 16.4).
This verse is saying God has accounted for such evil and has made a place reserved for them which is Hell where John Calvin is going, where James White, Matt J. Slick, John Piper, R.C. Sproul, John MacArthur and Kirk Cameron will be going.
For they all refuse to repent and genuinely believe in Christ to be regenerated. Instead, they pridefully assume they were irresistibly selected. Thus, they are not God's elect.
