Cool new tv series called Continuum on HBO.
What if 65 years from now there are no more governments left because they were the cause of making corporations too big to fail. But you could go back in time, back to 2012, to do something about it.
In 2012 a gang continues to grow in size and support to war against these corporations by killing off their CEO's which puts the fear of death into the heart of anyone running a large corporation.
Would that prevent the abolishment of government by these corporations?
My view is the corporations are not the problem nor government elected by daft people. People are to blame for electing corrupt officials. So then the problem is effectively a group such as the Club of Rome, the 10 richest people in the world, that are allowed to unite their grip on the world, who ultimately control the governments and the corporations. And there is no way to stop them because people keep electing existing party politicians. Hence, the Great Tribulation is sure to come. Jesus said if He doesn't return the human race would destroy itself, but He returns for a reason.
"For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened" (Matt. 24.21,22).
Why hasn't Jesus returned yet? Because human beings killed Him because they don't want Him here. They want to do things on their own. So He is allowing a significant amount of time (approx. 2000 years in this dispensation of grace) to show us humans we can't do it on our own. The pearl of great price to God is the Church during this mystery age of grace though the world doesn't listen to the Church much.
