This is akin to the statement that so many religions use, that their god is eternal, has always existed. You know, the old Alpha and Omega quote.

They are right in that sense because something which always existed caused the universe.

Well, for starters, who say that atheists have no moral compass? This is an unqualified statement that belongs in the trash heap with other misconceptions about atheists.
How can atheists have a moral compass if it is always changing whereas God's values are unchanging?

Morals presented in the bible are ambiguous at times,
If somebody has reconciled them and you can't doesn't that mean you should humble yourself and gather more information before you render a verdict? God and the universe are complicated.

I, personally, don't agree with slavery (condoned in the bible)
Where in the NT do you find slavery condoned?

rape (daughters given to strangers to avoid murder of father),
Where do you find rape condoned in the NT?

child abuse (sacrificing children to capricious god of the bible),
Where do you find child sacrifice condoned in the NT?

murder of those with beliefs other than those taught by certain religions (Christianity, Islam)
Where do you find murder condoned in the NT who disagree?

and a litany of other things I'd have no trouble calling 'sins'.
Like what?

Atheists heed a set of morals that outstrips those found in religion. People who call themselves 'atheists' are not just disavowing a supernatural deity, we are seeking to establish an approach to life that truly uplifts humanity, not a vengeful, wrathful, hateful doctrine that divides people into arbitrary, meaningless camps.
How can you truly love man if you don't love God? Denying His existence is not love, just as denying your own parent's existence is not love. Therefore, you are dividing yourself into an arbitrary meaningless camp.

Atheism is not a religion, but it is a system of rational ideations based on the underlying, common belief that humans can function without the need for an imaginary, supernatural deity to act as creator, judge, and executioner.
Did you create yourself? Of course not, so it is irrational to not depend on your creator who gives you the solution. If religion is the worship of something, whatever that may be, then atheists are in a religion of atheism, worshipping life without God which is really no life at all.

Atheists disavow the existence of god because god is presented as a fact, when no tangible, verifiable, and logical evidences are given.
God is the inevitable conclusion of the fact that the universe does not create itself nor did it always exist. This is a scientific finding.

Science, though not 100% complete at explaining everything, has at the very least complied with the request that evidenciary processes be performed.
So does God. And thus, science would not exist without God.

Religions don't even attempt to provide real evidence, they merely state that something is true and then threaten humanity with punishment for not believing. This method doesn't even work with children! I have yet to meet a child who doesn't test his/her parents' assertions that doing what they were told not to do won't get them hurt.
Most religions don't provide evidence, but Christianity does. The word of God says test the spirits, prove all things, confirm the Scriptures. For example, Paul said he met with James, Peter and John and they said they all saw Jesus resurrected in various different groups. How do you explain this away, for they were not lying, since they died for this claim and people don't for something they don't truly believe in.

An atheist asks for evidence, a logical progression. Form a hypothesis, test the hypothesis, when enough evidence supports the hypothesis, form a theory, then test and re-test the theory in such a manner as to eliminate human bias, then if the theory performs consistently, every time, then call it a fact.
Atheists don't do this because it is shown in nature there is a cause to things and things just don't happen without an explanation. Hence, the universe had a beginning. Anything with a beginning in nature has a cause. Thus the universe has a cause to come into being. That cause is the Intelligent Designer who fine tuned the universe so precisely.

Religion states a thing as a fact, won't let you question it without retribution, and offers no explantion for inconsistencies other than to remind the questioner of the ineffability, infallibility and perfection of god.
Just like atheists state God does not exist as a fact. You have much in common with religions of the world except Christianity. If you did not believe in Stalin's atheism, you would be killed. 40 million non-atheists were killed. God allows you to question all things in Christianity, even God's infallibility and ineffability.

In a court of law, the idea of god would be thrown out for lack of evidence.
In a court of law God is proven. For example, the person in the Guinness Book of Records who won the most court cases in a row (245), said the best case he has ever seen is the case for Christ, His life, death, burial and resurrection proving He is God.

An atheist should confront these issues and the details of them.

1) The universe can't cause itself as nothing in nature can cause itself, for everything in nature, even the first thing in nature, requires an explanation for its existence. Anything less is unscientific.

2) Since nothing can be the cause but that which was always existing and infinitely intelligent as no other option exists that man can fathom, to deny God is asinine and to be judged by hellfire.

3) Since Paul said he met with Peter, James and John, the original Apostles, who said they spent 3 years with Jesus and were with Him in His resurrected state bodily, and people don't go to their deaths for something they believe to be a lie, they truly believed it. What other explanation can there be than Jesus was resurrected as He said He would raise his body on the 3rd day, because He said He is God able to forgive sins, and any who believe in Him and receive His ransom shall be saved and have eternal life. What wonderful mercy and grace of God to enter His creation, to shed His blood coming in the likeness of flesh for us to show us not only how to be, but how to die and live forever more.

This is true humility. Anything less is the pride of life.

Amen.
