Do you believe in nanobacteria? If they are real life forms then they are the most prolific life on the planet with dimensions of less than 200 nanometers, and they seem to cause diseases because calcium deposits form around them.
There is a whole zoo of different kinds of nanobacteria.
And meteorites from space seem to have them too by showing fossil formations for them.
Scientists can't be sure they have DNA. Currently, scientists believe they are just silica or crystaline growths of rocks, and not living organism, but that view could still change.
