Seals are secretively opened. The church age of the seals is the age of mystery so the understanding of the seals can be a bit foggy. Not until the second half of the little book is opened (Rev. 10) will we understand the meaning of the secretive seals in fuller measure. Nee said the same thing too basically in Come, Lord Jesus.
By this account we are going to struggle with the 6th seal. It could mean what I have said about viewing the earth from space "every mountain and island were moved out of their places" (v.14), but we can not be absolutely certain. First assessment seems to agree as being a matter of perspective since nothing in nature would cause this.
"And the heaven departed as a scroll when it is rolled together" (v.14). Even viewed from space, it is hard to fit the scroll rolled up, so I reserve judgment on that.
Does anyone have some thoughts on the meaning of the scroll rolled up?
