The idea behind "The Secret" is that your thoughts will become your experience and that's the secret. But there is an internal flaw to this theory.
The flaw is that it is done without conscience; and this is shown by trying to feel prosperous or whatever feeling you want by self's desire to proclaim it without a point of reference of Christ Jesus who has the perfect conscience.
Does it make any sense at all to ask for something, to assume the answering day by day is taking place by all you needing to do is receive it for it come about? What if your asking is wrong? What if it is against God's will even if you get it or feel great because you got it? Should you discover what God's will is first to know if your asking is appropriate?
Now, the proponents of "The Secret" will tell you also for the asking to manifest, you do have to be in alignment with the universe, but they don't specify what these requirements are other than positive thinking and using visions to pretend you already got it. Again, God's Word is left out of the loop in the The Secret Now new age faith. It's really, ultimately, quite selfish. Does God really care if you are a millionaire? Do the birds and the bees fret over their next meal? Would God not care for His children even more?
How about instead of living by a catchy phrase of the "law of attraction" and whatever you are thinking you will get more of it to finding out what God's Word says to place your heart's desire more in alignment with His, and then asking genuinely for the intuitive spirit to receive revelation to make those baby steps. What is the first thing needed? To be born-again as a new creation of God. Have you received His forgiveness yet? If not, you're an unregenerate, unforgiven and unsaved and can not come before God with a clean conscience. Hell is in your future, not heaven. Is that what you really want? Of course not, but sub-consciously that is the choice you have made for yourself each and every day that you shut your mind down to the need for salvation-from your sins, self and supernatural (evil spirits).
