The Contradiction of Lyn Cockburn
The Holy Spirit has led me to to show you the proof why Lyn Cockburn is going to hell according to her own free-will. This is in response to her article Friday, July 13, 2007 on page 11.
Consider her article of her own "junior high exclusivity and cliquishness" view in which she is its main follower. She implies she believes in God when she said "God gets a bad rep". However, the god she believes in is not God of the Bible so she gives God a bad rep, for the Word of God says, "He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God" (John 3.18). The Bible also says there is no way to the Father except through the Son and that we shall know them by their fruit. Let's look at Lyn's fruit-things we can observe in her independent beliefs.
This is not a response to the proof of God, for God exists given the fact that nothing in nature happens all by itself; hence, we can be certain the uncreated created. And, due to the exponential progression in conscience (e.g. no more child sacrifices that was once so prevalent), we would not still be sinning if there was an eternity of the past of cause and effects. Again, we know we were created by the uncreated. Who is this uncreated creator?
Lyn favors Buddhism by giving the "final word to the Dalai Lama," but this requires her to believe also there is no God, for Buddhism does not believe there is a sole uncreated creator. In Buddhism there is a never ending past of gods creating gods. If this was the case, you would not still be sinning by now having been derived from an eternity of the past of cause and effects. This, therefore, contradicts her previous view in believing in what she called "God". She would also have to accept the idea that if she is sinful enough, she could come back as a chicken or a dog, and this never ending cycle of reincarnation never seems to have any eternal consequences. This allows this sinner to justify her sins and allow here always another chance to come back as a human after being turned into an animal of some kind. Polytheism allows the person to choose a god of their fleshly liking to exalt, not unlike the idols in the Roman Church. The idols of saints in the Roman Church each have their own fleshly bias one can exalt and follow after.
Once-Saved-Always-Saved
Those in the Roman Church are mostly unsaved, for they teach that you can lose salvation after being saved, denouncing God's infinite foreknowledge to know whom to give new birth to. It is saying God didn't know better, so he was mistaken in first giving salvation which is eternal life so that he had to then remove it. Then, allowing the person to be saved again. How can eternal life not be eternal once born-again? Just as one is born physically in this world once, one can only be born as a new creation once. What is the unique comparison to this faith of the Roman Catholic and Eastern Orthodox and several Protestant denoms? They always get another chance. Whereas once-saved-always-saved as taught in Scripture let's us know that the choice for salvation is an eternal choice; it is not a choice to back out later at some point.
For eternal life is seen in three stages: (1) in this age—"hath eternal life" (see John 5.24); (2) in the millennial kingdom—that is, in the age to come (see Mark 10.30 and Luke 18.30); and (3) in eternity (see Rom. 2.5-7).
What then is the exact proof that eternal life is eternal and can never be lost?
"For God has reserved a priceless inheritance for his children. It is kept in heaven for you, pure and undefiled, beyond the reach of change and decay" (1 Peter 1.4).
What is beyond the reach of change? The priceless inheritance that is reserved for those who are born-again: "that God has given us the privilege of being born again" (v.3). Matt. 19. 29 Mark’s Gospel has "now in this time" and "in the world to come" (10.30).
The Pope is Not Saved Nor are Most People
Since the Pope believes in amillennialism which says the 1000 year peace and reign of Christ is happening now, how can he be saved? There are still wars and rumors of wars. Rev. 20.3 says the nations will no longer be deceived in the 1000 years (Rev. 20.2-7) that is to come upon the whole world when the lion and lamb will lay down together in peace. Nor has Rev. 9.16 occurred when a vast army or armies of 200 million machines will amass in the middle east (likely over oil). Moreover, how can any of us say v.18 has occurred when 1/3 of the people of the earth will die in a short period of time of three and a half years mentioned in Revelation and Daniel?
We shall know them by their fruit. We can be confident every pope in history was unsaved, and they knew better, for they are made in God's image with a spirit of God consciousness. Popery is nowhere to be found in Scripture, nor is intermediary priesthood in the New Testament. To be made in God's image indicates (like Abel's free-will offering) that you will never be annihilated, since God's image can't be removed. Even some person on some remote island who never heard of God's Word yet looked up to the mountains and the stars and believed in God surely would accept the Word of Christ if it was presented to him.
The Roman Church (which is not the corporate body of Christ) also believes that Mary was sinless to appease women who are not allowed to be teachers, priests, ministers, bishops, apostles or popes. Yet, in the Bible we can count no less than 5 times where Mary had sinned or was being selfish. Does not the Bible say all that is born of the flesh is flesh? Whereas Jesus was born in the likeness of the flesh, and regeneration takes place in the spirit of the believer. "That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit" (John 3.6). Flesh is sin of the body and self of the soul.
Lyn will be Resurrected for Hell after the 1000 Years
Since annihilation is shown to be impossible, resurrection is guaranteed not just for Christians (1 Thess. 4.15-17), as Rev. 20.11-15 reveals:
Rev 20:11 Then I saw a great white throne and him who sat upon it; from his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.
Rev 20:12 And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, which is the book of life. And the dead were judged by what was written in the books, by what they had done.
Rev 20:13 And the sea gave up the dead in it, Death and Hades gave up the dead in them, and all were judged by what they had done.
Rev 20:14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire;
Rev 20:15 and if any one's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.
God wants to save Lyn, but she refuses to be saved; that is her choice. Nobody can force her and the best salesman in the world could not convince her to be saved. She loves her flesh and refuses to give it up by dying in her old woman on the cross with Christ (co-death) to receive the substitution of Jesus' atonement for her sins that need to be punished as no sin can escape consequence.
The choice to shut one's mind down to be overtaken by the god of this world is like living in a matrix of deception. This is her choice: for she has admitted, "the world would be a much better place if we all minded our own faith and our own business, not to mention our manners". Lyn is a selfish ball of contradictions, for on the one hand she says mind our own business and this is manners, on the other hand she writes an article that is far from minding her own business to herself.
Why Doesn't the Christian Friend Help Lyn?
Why doesn't one of Lyn's friends who is a Christian (assuming her friend is a Christian) help her? Lyn says her friend "does not preach" to her and that they "get along fine". Lyn's friend knows full well that if Lyn was given the gospel that they would no longer be as friendly, but Lyn would grow hostile or they would move apart. So Lyn's friend is waiting for the right time to help lead Lyn to Christ. Lyn is like a ticking time bomb, ready to go off when the gospel is expressed according to God's will. Everything is under raps for now in her mind as she carries on in the world. She knows not what she does.
We need to be careful as well. Lyn says her friend is a Christian according to the definition of Lyn, but Lyn is far removed from knowing what a Christian is, so let us not take her word that her friend is a Christian, because "we impart this in words not taught by human wisdom but taught by the Spirit, interpreting spiritual truths to those who possess the Spirit" (1 Cor. 2.13). If Lyn does not have the Spirit, she harbors mistaken assumptions.
The Meanness of the God of Lyn
Salvation is afforded to anyone, for Jesus died for the sins of everyone. It is just that not everyone wants God's forgiveness or to be with God in the new city and new earth. Like fallen Lucifer they prefer to remain disobedient, independent and eternally separated from their creator. This is a meanness which is ugly and saddens God's heart, but righteously God must respond according to His nature. How would a loving God ever let people near His sons and daughters in the new city and new earth? Do we let a rapist out of prison to make contact with those he rapes?
What is the pride of Lyn? It is in the contradictory ecumenicalism. This ball of contradiction does herself in, for while she professes God, she denies Jesus is God who said the only way to be saved is by the Son Himself in what He would do for you on the cross. How can someone be so mean to reject such loving action of our creator to enter into His creation to provide redemption all the while the skeptic preaches in some god as though it is God? I am sure the reader is now led to the point that this God Lyn is pointing you to is herself. Self-exaltation is the pride of life and vanity of vanities.
Prayers of the body of Christ go out to Lyn that she does not need to end up at the destination the road she is presently on.
Other Religions
Any religion that denies Jesus being God is false. Muslims say Jesus never died on the cross, but what evidence do they have six and half centuries later? The OT says the Jews would reject their own Messiah. Buddhists, Hindus and African faiths are filled with polytheism and reincarnation to not account properly for sin because sinners like to remain in their sin nature, and choose the flavor of god of their liking with so many different gods.
Conclusion
Nobody can compare to Christ.
p.s. if you would like to know how God organizes the Church, not according to many different levels of hierarchy and popery, please study Biblocality (http://www3.telus.net/trbrooks/bodyofchrist.htm). Suffice it to say there are apostles for a region of churches, elders of a church locality (city), and elders of meeting places in a church locality. Apostles are directly commissioned by God, elders of a locality are appointed by apostles, and elders of meeting places are approved by elders of a locality. Why does God limit apostles to only a region of churches and not in control over nations or many nations, regions or whole continents? Because God knows man's flesh. His design is the miniature of the new city which is the locality. The new city will be 1379 x 1379 miles on the new earth one day. Consider this training ground now for the 1000 years and the 1000 years for the new city.
