Fallen Bipartite
Helping Bipartites
Heb13:2 says "be careful entertaining strangers; for some have entertained angels unaware," even the angel in charge of confusing man's spirit and soul.
They shouted to Lot, "Where are the men who came to spend the night with you? Bring them out so we can have sex with them" (Gen. 19.5).
"The men" were messengers. There are two kinds of angels. Angels that are spirits (ministering spirits or fallen spirits) and angels that are men as messengers. It would be a grave mistake not only to confuse your spirit from your soul, but also to arbitarily confuse angels that are men who are messengers from angels in heaven to rationalize your fleshly need to confuse your spirit with your soul's functions. The consequence would be to lower your discernment below God's will for you.
Angels don't eat human food, but these angels did, "But Lot insisted, so at last they went home with him. He set a great feast before them, complete with fresh bread made without yeast" (v.3).
When the New Testament epistles mention the Lord’s relationship with us they always describe Him as man. "Wherefore it behooved him in all things to be made like unto his brethren" (Heb. 2.17). Because He is man, therefore He is closer to mankind. The angels are made a little higher than men. In Genesis 18.2,16, and 22 the word "men" is used to show their closeness to Abraham. Genesis 19.1 uses the word "angels" to distinguish them from ordinary men; yet in Genesis 19.10,12, and 16 the word "men" is used again for they were helping Lot. The reason why in Revelation 8.3 the Lord is designated as an angel is to indicate the changing of time. He is no longer the Son of man in the gospel age. He has now become another angel though still a priest.
Similarly, the angels in Revelation 1 are human messengers as well.
"In the resurrection", said the Lord, "they neither marry, nor are given in marriage" (Matt. 22.30). Only those with a resurrection body are not engaged in marriage. Thus, in this regard, they are like angels. The inhabitants of the new earth do not have a resurrection body, therefore they will still be involved in marriage who were transferred livingly from the last generation at the end of the millennium.
A resurrected body is a spiritual body like the body of Christ's in His resurrection which Thomas did touch with his hands and appeared as though like flesh. Believers can return from 3rd heaven to earth for the millennium. Angels in heaven can not take on human form, though demons can indwell humans because demons are disembodied spirits. The evil spirit resides in the unsaved.
Self-consciousness is in the soul and consciousness of the self. God-consciousness is in the spirit and is consciousness of God. Why do then say your consciousness of self and God are the same? Are you God? I don't recommend you argue, but let the false teachings of the fallen bipartite die on the cross. It seems always important somehow that one read the Bible correctly and not alter it. Why always sluff things off as uncritical issues? Every single time you alter God's Word in your heart, Rev. 22.18,19 says there are consequences. "Also desire the special abilities in the Spirit gives, especially that of prophecy" (1 Cor. 14.1).
People agree and disagree; how does that help you altering the Word of God in your heart of hearts? What is that you cling to so desperately in your life that you can't let go of by demanding your spirit's functions are the same as your soul's? Why confuse your mind and emotion for your intuition and conscience of your spirit? Why confuse your will, desire and volition of your soul with the communion and fellowship with God in the spirit? Why? Why? Sin and self, organizational control and false traditions!
Don't use this verse as an excuse to fall into passivity, "Now we see in a mirror darkly; we know in part, we prophesy in part. When the Perfect has come, then we will know fully, even as we are fully known" (1 Cor. 13.12), for that is exactly what the evil spirit wants so as to find a foothold in your mind. To so stimulate the mind against God's will is to smother the spirit. Like a shell your soul needs to be cracked open so you can reach into your spirit to sense an intuitive conscience of your spirit and heed the still small voice of the Holy Spirit therein if you have God's uncreated life within you.
Make these mistakes no more! Let God divide your spirit and your soul (Heb. 4.12, 1 Thess. 5.23), so as to be able to walk after the spirit. Grace enters through this spiritual awareness of the sensitivies of your innerman or innerwoman, its functions and laws. This is God's will to take the sword of the Spirit and split apart to distinquish your outerman from your innerman, to walk after the spirit by the Spirit. Keep one eye on Christ and He will affect this change in you to soften your stony heart into a heart of flesh.
