The Establishment Resists
As Expected
There are 4 reasons why Christendom's establishment is so hostile to Biblical locality:
1) It bypasses their religious authority.
2) It weakens their control over people.
3) Challenges their cherished beliefs.
4) Exposes their insincere motives.
The same thing happened to Jesus in Matthew 9, where the Pharaisees accuse Jesus of blasphemy, befriending outcasts, impiety, and serving Satan.
Matthew shows how Jesus was maligned by those who should have received him gladly.
While Jesus was healing people right before their eyes, the Pharisees debated and disected and discredited Jesus. Their skepticism was based on insufficient evidence and jealousy of Jesus' popularity or as the case may be, lacking in power driven popularity.
