Jesus knew the OT so well that everywhere he went and everything he did was in keeping with the OT.

For example, when Jesus started his ministry, the first thing he did was go where it was safe to Capernaum. He did this because at the time when he was in Judea (Matt. 4.12), John was arrested. He went to Capernaum next to the sea of Galilee in the region of Zebulaun and Naphtali, where 2 tribes of the 10 tribes of Israel are located.

When Jesus did that, He did not return to Nazareth, where there was intense opposition in His home town. Capernaum was a busy city, so Jesus' message could reach more people. And more resources in such a city could be utilized for more support.

He fulfilled the prophecy in Isaiah 9.1,2 that a "light has shined" in this particular land of Zebulun and Naphtali upon the people who sat in darkness in that land, which were the gentiles.

Although John was now imprisoned, the Lord continued preaching John's message. Despite imprisonment of the first herald of the message of the kingdom of heaven, the nature of the message underwent no change in the preaching by the Lord Jesus (Matt. 12.12-17).
