"I discipline my body like an athelete, training it to do what it should. Otherwise, I fear that after preaching to others I myself might be disqualified" (1 Cor. 9.27).

Some think this verse means that a person could lose their salvation or losing the privelege of telling others about Christ. Let us think about this though.

When God gives eternal life it is eternal. And this verse is not saying "after preaching" then being disqualified from teaching. That does not flow in the context. The context is that towards the prize, which is a reward of reigning with Christ during the millennial kingdom, "Remember that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the price. You must run in such a way that you will win" (v.24).
