You are perfectly correct in that gibberish babble is not a "tongue" by any means. However, just because you do not understand it does not mean it must NOT be a tongue. If someone says something you do not understand, and someone else understands it perfectly, then there is clearly a good communication at work.

Let's say you do not understand Hindi, and become frustrated because everyone around speaks Hindi, yet you can't speak a word. Is Hindi suddenly not a language because it sounds like gibberish to you?

When someone says they are speaking in tongues and it is just gibberish babble baby talk (not tongues), you can prove this by asking what they just said means. If neither they can interpret it as a language or another interpreter cannot interpret it and be verified by interpreters with the same interpretation, you know it is just kindergarten mediums. This is the true test. And at the very least the speaker of a language you don't know would at least be able to say what the name of that language is. If they can not even do this, you know they are fraudulent; they are under the spell of an alteration of God's Word.
