Adiaphora (Romans 14) are non-essential truths like what day to worship or what food to eat. A new born Christian may not know many things. He might only know that Jesus is God, died for our sins, and rose from the dead. But that Christian will not reject important truths in the word of God. The person who worships a false Christ will adamantly teach heresies such as amillennialism, gibberish babble, and Calvinism. Such a person is not saved and is going to Hell.
The premillennial view is essential for notice how far apart it is from amillennial. The premillennial believer believes Jesus will return to reign on earth for 1000 (Rev. 19.11, 20.4) with his overcomers (2.26,27), but the amillennial view teaches Jesus will not return to reign on earth for 1000 years. So when Jesus returns to reign on earth for 1000 years, Matt Slick will reject Jesus even as he does now.
What about different premillennial views? Partial rapture, Pretrib Onlyism, or Posttrib Onlyism. They can be essential depending on the circumstances. For example, if you are posttrib then you take away the hope of the Church for God's desire is for believers to be taken and not left (Matt. 24.40-42, Luke 21.36, Rev. 3.10). Depending how you treat those who were first raptured according to readiness, you may or may not be a Christian. If you realize after a couple million are raptured alive before the Tribulation that you were mistaken, not ready yourself, and accept them as brothers and sisters in Christ then you are a Christian. But if like Satan you keep accusing them day and night then I know you are not a brother in Christ. If you believe in pretrib then when you are in the Tribulation and observe a couple million first raptured, if you accept you were not included because you were not ready then I consider you a Christian. But if you accuse them day and night like posttribers then I know you are not a Christian for what Christian accuses the brethren?
Matt Slick believes in gibberish babble, but Jesus would never let someone into Heaven who practices gibberish babble. That's zombie talk! The gifts are for today, and tongues is the gift of languages to spread the gospel to the nations. Satan wants to dumb your mind and dull your spirit down with nonsensical mind-numbing gibberish babble in order to degrade your conscience.
Slick admits he rejects "regeneration". He calls it doctrinal regeneration. What he means by this is OSAS Arminian. "Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost" (Tit. 3.5). "Let him who desires take the water of life without price" (22.17). "To all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God; who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God" (1.12-13). "You refuse to come to me that you may have life" (John 5.40). Calvinists practice "will-worship" (Col. 2.23). In other words, as aptly stated by Watchman Nee, "Man is not regenerated because he wills it so" (The Spiritual Man, CFP white cover, vol. 3). Very simply stated, Calvinists refuse to repent and believe in Christ to be regenerated. Instead, contrary to God's word, they will it of themselves they were irresistibly selected. God will never receive someone with that pompous attitude. Only OSAS Arminians are saved.
Shawn McCraney said he for the most part agrees with Matt Slick, but disagrees with essential truths for salvation. This alone shows why Shawn is not a Christian, because though one might disagree what is essential or not, one at least should agree there are certain doctrine that are essential for salvation such as not rejecting the Jesus who returns to reign on earth for 1000 years. Shawn rejects the Trinity because he can't understand how Monotheism can be Triune. Shawn never really left his Mormon cult roots; he carries lots of baggage with him. He said, "When it comes to viewing the Trinity, I do not consider that Monotheistic." He just admitted he is not a Christian. At first glance one might consider Shawn a Christian but when you find out he rejects the Trinity and essential truths for salvation, you know he is starting up his own cult and is not, nor has he ever been, a brother in Christ. And that's sad. Since for eternity he will reject the Triune God and essential truths for salvation where can God place him but in the Lake of Fire for all eternity.
McCraney also said "The Bible was never meant as a manual for how to do Church today." He is effectively rejecting the word of God for the Church age (dispensation of grace). The Bible is very clear how to do Church. Revelation 2 & 3 mention things each church period needs to overcome. Apostles are directly chosen by God to appoint Elders over a church locality, and those Elders approve of the Elders of many meeting places in a locality. That's the proper starting point of how the Church is organized then the Bible guides us in all kinds of ways how to conduct ourselves in Church. Just as Mormons downplay the Bible so does Shawn.
McCraney is crazy. He said he is "not absolutely sure Jesus was not married." Wow! Mormons teach Jesus was married too. The Bible says we shall know a person by their fruits. I hope you are seeing that both Slick and Shawn were never born-again, and as long as they have been in Christendom, I don't believe they will ever give their lives to Christ. They are set in their ways. It gets worse and worse, Shawn said "the Bible is secondary". The word of God is secondary? Wow! Shawn said "church history is inconsequential." If Church history is inconsequential then why does the Bible foresee challenges that the body of Christ must face in Rev. 2 & 3? If we don't learn from past mistakes, we are likely to repeat them.
