Error Breeds Error in the Roman Catholic System

Saint Augustine was the first "Roman Catholic". He was a Manichean Gnostic before claiming to be a Christian. They considered the body evil and the spirit Godly. This dualism created problems. So they, oddly enough, practiced every kind of debauchery to satisfy their flesh. Carrying forward his baggage and his background, Augustine had issues with women and sexuality. He had 4 foundational concepts that were heresies:

1) Degrading view of women and sexuality that women are a sub-par species of the human race;
2) Teaching virginity and/or celibacy are morally superior ways to live;
3) The idea of the Kingdom of God manifesting as a geo-political power - the "Church state" must be an imperial power;
4) Proto-Calvinism - (a) total depravity of the human will, (b) irresistibly imposed salvation, and (c) preterition - passing over people giving them no opportunity for salvation. Luther was an Augustinian Monk so he was not born-again either even though it is popularly assumed that he is. Nonetheless the Reformation is true which is Justification by Faith; but Calvinists high jack the term Reformation to mean salvation is irresistibly imposed.
