Mary at first didn't recognize Jesus at the tomb when He stood behind her and said, "why are you crying?" But then, by the power of the Word, Jesus said, "Mary" (John 20.16), and she immediately recognized Him, "Teacher!"

Her grief had blinded her. And she couldn't recognize him because she didn't expect to see him. How we need to be careful that any burdens we have do not cloud our judgment and that our expectations are right about His coming.

When Jesus spoke to her, the love in her heart flooded with joy to hear her Savior call her name. Jesus is calling you personally too, and He is calling your name. Can you regard Him like Mary did as your Lord?

Mary went to the disciples to say "she had seen the Lord, and [that] he had spoken these things unto her" (John 20.18). Those who believe will want to share Jesus.
