    The sun wasn't created on the 4th day. Rather, the sun came into view on the 4th day, because the earth had become desolate and waste in Gen. 1.2. Naturally the sun was blocked by the atmosphere, but light did shine through on the 1st day. The 6 days of creation are six 24 hour days that sum up the period of restoration. Lots of people make your mistake misreading the Bible as if they think a mistake was made.
