    Default Harold Camping is Amillennial

Harold Camping is amillennial. Augustine in the 4th century was amillennial. He was a Calvinist, that is, he refused to repent and believe in Christ to be regenerated, but rather assumed he was irresistibly selected, nothing he could do about it.

Yet the nations are no longer deceived during the 1000 years (Rev. 20.3). 200 million died among the nations in wars in the 20th century. And the Bible says Satan today is the god of this world. Surely Satan is not bound right now but will be in the 1000 years. During the Tribulation he is cast down to earth (Rev. 9.1, 12.4,7-9) from 2nd heaven (v.3). He was cast down from 3rd heaven to 2nd heaven when as Lucifer he rebelled millions or billions of years ago.

The moral decrepit view that the nations are no longer deceived is truly bankrupt and a lover of Satan's world.

Most cults I think try to make the 2300 days, 1260 days, 1290 days, 1335 days, 2520 days to be years rather than days and the 1000 years as already fulfilled or in the process of being fulfilled.

This is the complete opposite view of those who hold the premillennial view from the 1st and 2nd century.

Is Satan the god of this world today?

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Pet. 5.8). "We know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in the evil one" (1 John 5.19).

Does that sound like Satan is in the pit now for 1000 years?

"I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years, And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season" (Rev. 20.1-3).

Harold Camping believes that there are two salvations which mocks Christ's atonement, because Israel is saved and Christians are saved. What he fails to understand is these are not one in the same salvation or of the same kind. Israel as a nation is preserved as are other nations, but individually a person who lives in Israel would still need to accept Christ to be saved and not go to Hell. So simple, but Camping can't understand that.

Furthermore, Camping believes the First Resurrection is Christians having being saved that have resurrection life, reigning now with Christ. But Christ isn't reigning nor are Christians in an imaginary kingdom. Satan is the god of this world today. Hence, the First Resurrection does not refer to salvation but to overcomers who receive the reward of reigning with Christ during the 1000 years. This privilege is not given to all believers just those believers who keep the word of His patience and the conduct of Matthew 5-7. They are the overcomers. All Christians overcome but not at the same time. Thus, only those who are firstfruits Christians shall receive the reward to return (Jude 14,15) and reign over the nations for 1000 years (Rev. 2.26).

If Israel would have accepted Jesus there would be no Savior according to Camping. This is an irrelevant hypothetical, because it is through the foreknowledge of God that He chose Israel to enter creation knowing that Israel would forsake Him and have a hand in His death. Hypotheticals here are ill-gotten in this regard. Besides, even if Israel accepted Jesus someone would have killed Jesus anyway even though it would not have been a Jewish person at the hands of the Romans.

Harold Camping is a dullard, and we can be confident he is going to Hell and will never give his life to Christ. He will never repent of his false Christ. He will always reject the Jesus who returns to reign on earth for 1000 years.

Camping also believes the "almost battle" around Jerusalem premillennialists view at the end of the 1000 years (Rev. 12.8-10) has to do with with an allegorical meaning the peace Christians have with the Lord. That's crazy! I guess when you allegorize something, you can make it mean anything.

He calls our soul the "soul or spirit essence" and says we are "soul [spirit] and body".

Amillennialists spiritualize the 1000 years. The question is where do you stop? It is better to be literal.

Are there practical implications? I think so. To think all the evil in the world today characterizes a millennial peace is morally bankrupt.

The question is does this false teaching feed immorality or does an immorally unsaved person cause him to believe this lie? The Holy Spirit has told me the latter is the case, but certainly the former feeds unethical behavior as well. We are dealing with false Christians here: unsaved tares that try to look like the saved wheat.

They may have been alleged Christians almost all their lives yet were unsaved. How surprised many will be at the Great White Throne when they are awoken. Jesus said He will take His sickle to them and that we are not to do anything.
