Do you think not listening to your conscience when you know you ought to do something, is more harmful than actually not doing the thing?

And the flip side of that coin: do you think doing something you know you ought not to do, is often, not nearly as damaging as not abiding in your conscience when it tells you not to do it?

I have found that the reaction in my spirit, soul and body from the act itself is not nearly as consequential as not listening to conscience.

Conscience is the minimum standard God asks us to abide in at any moment in time. God will not judge us for what we don't know, but He certainly will judge us for what we do know.
