We are able to know the date because Matthew 24 says when we are right "at the door" (v.33) we can know, since we are on the other side of Israel becoming a nation again (v.32).

"Heaven and earth shall pass away" (v.35). When the millennial kingdom starts heaven and earth don't pass away. Heaven and earth pass away at the end of the 1000 years. Hence, "of that day and hour knoweth no man" (v.36).

Even if you wanted to apply the not knowing to the return of Jesus, you have a problem because after the first rapture (Rev. 7.9) you can count down the days which is 2,520 days to when Jesus steps on the mount of olives (Zech. 14.4).

It is true His parousia which spans the 7 years commences like a thief in the night, but that would be true for most people, not the servant of the Lord who is watchful and prayerful, keeping the word of His patience. He won't let his house be broken into but is standing right at the door.

Moreover, Feast of Trumpets is the only feast of the seven feasts we don't know the exact day; it depends on the crescent of the moon to be seen to know when the Feast of Trumpets begins. So depending on where a person lives on the planet and when the crescent of the moon shows forth, the first rapture could be Sept. 13, 14 or 15.

As well Jesus is at the right hand of the Father so He certainly knows now. It is not that we can never know, but when we are "right at the door" (v.33) we can know simply because we have information we did not have before such as the H3 Solar Eclipse on Nov. 3, 2013, the Total Lunar Tetrad 2014/15, and the only 2,520 day period that fits is from Sept. 14, 2015 to Aug. 7, 2022.

Praise the Lord for this discernment! Amen.
