"Your entire army is to march around the city once a day for six days" (Joshua 6.3).

The significance of the 360 degrees x 7 circlings of Jericho by the Israelites on the seventh day is that it is the same unit as Daniel's unit of seven: 7 years x 360 days per year to predict when Jesus would enter Jerusalem and be cut off for the sins of the world after sixty-two sets of seven.

Jesus is the greater light. He is the light of the world, the Son of God. To make an analogy, the sun is the greater light and the moon is the lesser light: 6 x 360 = 2,160 miles in diameter.

Even so, 7 is but temporary perfection, not permanent. Hence, the 7 church periods (Rev. 2 & 3) that God uses as a basic unit that give Him glory. He rested on the 7th day. And 2,520 is the smallest number divisible by all numbers from 2 to 10. It is also the length of time for the Tribulation at the consummation of this age for God's wrath to come upon the world as well as Satan's wrath who wants to destroy God's wonderful creation. God temporarily limits this to 7 years only instead of letting such carnage and suffering persist.

"Seven priests will walk ahead of the Ark, each carrying a ram's horn. On the seventh day you are to march around the city seven times, with the priests blowing the horns" (v.4).
