"Any humane person would rescue from hell everyone he possibly could. If a doctor had a cure for a plague decimating mankind, yet gave it only to a select group, he would be justly condemned" (Debating Calvinism, p. 280, Dave Hunt). LUTHER rejected Augustine and Calvin and White: "In the beginning, I devoured Augustine, but when...I knew what justification by faith really was, then it was out with him" (Luther, quoted on page 249, Debating Calvinism by Dave Hunt). Spurgeon said about Calvin, "He does not make prominent enough the benevolent character of the Divine Being" (p. 257, Debating Calvinism). Of course, though, Spurgeon taught a false salvation of regeneration before faith too. My prayers go out to Calvinists because they know not what they do. Hitler could not have brought Nazism to power if it was not for Calvinism.
