Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will save the sick man, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sin, he will be forgiven. (James 5.14-15)

What if there is no elders of the church? That is, those who take care of a Scriptural locality? What if there are only men and women in charge of denominations for your city? How important, therefore, it is to have Elders of a locality to heal the sick.

When a sick person is in need of healing and is unsure whether to go for medical attention and take medical products or injections, it is unfortunately that he does not first seek the Lord's healing and when no healing is forthcoming, to then be anointed with oil. Otherwise, the reason for the need for healing is not addressed, because he seeks after man's solutions, not God's.

Today, let us organize the Church with Apostles working regionally to appoint Elders of a locality so that they may anoint those in need of healing with oil. When you go to the Church for healing, you are placing dependence on the body of Christ, which may very well be the thing you are lacking and why you are sick. So God provides a solution through being anointed with oil to confirm your need in the Church and your willingness to be attached to the Church in the body of Christ. This gives God great pleasure to see the body of Christ work together in love and healing.
