I Emailed FairMormon.org this question -- Let's see if they respond

Some Mormons tell me they believe their Father always existed before time and space. Others say the Father use to be a son who was exalted to become the Father, and his Father was also exalted after being a son. This is like atheism in a way since they propose an infinite regress of cause and effects of men becoming gods. Where does it all begin? What is also weird is that your Jesus was a spirit child who went to the cross. Why is it that others don't go to the cross also? For example, if you are exalted you go to your celestial heaven without ever having to go to the cross.
