A Clean Conscience

The various hostilities of the flesh allowed to run amuck-the cause of this is your dead spirit towards God. Not only are you not listening to your own conscience that says you are wrong while you try to rationalize yourself, but you are not listening to God-His Spirit-that is convicting you of your sin so that you may come under the light of the gospel to save you, and so there would be no more condemnation in your conscience. "If the worshippers had once been cleansed, they would no longer have any conscienciousness of sin" (Heb. 10.2). Our salvation is confirmed by the fact that the precious blood has quieted this voice of condemnation.
