When you have a correct understanding of Christ, then you will obey Him; that is, wanting to have a relationship with Him in reading the Word of God.
So why do you not?
Because, you do not have a correct understanding of Christ!
How do you have a correct understanding of Christ?
There is only one way. By giving your life to Him so He can reveal Himself to you.
That is understanding!
