Of the 12 apostles, only Judas Iscariot is a Judean. The rest are Galileans.
"Iscariot" may mean "that which is exchanged for a price" of the men at Kerioth from which the name of Iscariot is derived - and hence it can be translated as Judas the trader: how he trades, with the Master as his commodity!
