1 Timothy 4.10 "God is the Savior of all Men, Specially Those Who Believe"

1 Tim. 4.10 says "God is the Savior of all men, specially those who believe". Since both Christians and Calvinists agree that this verse does not refer to universalism, can we determine which is the correct gospel of salvation? Of course. That's what the word of God is for to discern the spirits and prove all things.

If as Calvinists believe God is merely only the protector and sustainer on earth though not from Hell in the first half of the sentence then the second half of the sentence makes no sense, because those who believe are a subset who come from all those whom God is the Savior of as indicated by the word "specially". Therefore, "Savior of all men" cannot stop short of God's glory by being merely only a sustainer, but must include salvation from Hell as well if the condition is met by believing.

Therefore, since "God is the Savior of all men" doesn't refer to universalism but does apply to all people, it must pertain to the fact that God provides prevenient grace, that is, sufficient grace to us all to have the free choice. That is the context of the overall passage too.

Therefore, a now ex-Calvinist after 26 years as a Calvinist can be saved. How? By repenting of Calvinism. Instead of pridefully on a pedestal with his idol of Total depravity delusionally declaring like a robot he was irresistibly selected, he came to the cross as a helpless sinner, having received the gift of repentance and faith by searching God out with all his heart and soul, to receive the Lord Jesus as Savior to be regenerated (i.e. born-again, initial salvation, new birth, new creation). If you are to be saved this is how God will receive you. He will not receive you with the hard heart of a Calvinist. No true Calvinist has ever been born-again.

We can be comforted by the fact no Calvinists will be in heaven, because how unloving God would be to allow Calvinists to go around claiming they were irresistibly selected, while others freely received the Lord Jesus as Savior.

Hitler and his claim the Aryan race was irresistibly selected will not be going to heaven. Nor will the Jews be preteritioned (passed over) for the gas chambers, for what love is that? Hitler's Calvinists will not be going to heaven as that would be sadistic towards Christians to allow Calvinists in our presence in eternity future.

Let me confirm the same thought. Since "those who believe" is a subset of "all men" God is the Savior of as indicated by the word "specially," those who believe must have some quality that is likened to that of all men. It wouldn't make sense under Calvinism, because under Calvinism the quality of those who believe which is that they can believe is not found in the Calvinistic meaning of all men.

The clear reading of this verse puts "those who believe" as a subset of "all men" that God is a Savior of by the word "specially". Therefore, there must be some quality of "all men" that is inherent to the quality of "those who believe".

What is that quality? This quality or nature is not that all men are saved, because "specially those who believe" distinguishes those who believe from those who don't believe out of all men.

"All men" can't refer to "all men in various places" because that is nonsensically redundant to say, "God is the Savior of all men in various places, specially those who believe." Such a statement leads one to ask the question who are these whom don't believe and yet are saved as those who believe?

"Savior of all men" can't refer to God merely only a sustainer of a person on earth before they die and go to Hell, for what love or lack of power is that to not be able to save them from sin, self, evil supernatural and from Hell? Surely God would not stop short of His glory! Nor would that glorify God to stop short of His glory!

Therefore, the only option available is "Savior of all men" must refer to the fact that God provides sufficient grace to all to have the free choice of which only "those who believe" are saved. Did Jesus as Savior not die on the cross for the sins of the whole world that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but receive everlasting life?
