The Fringe TV Series and the Mark of the Beast

I just realized the mark of the beast to be able to buy or sell might have other functions like in the Fringe to enhance abilities of the Observers. There is actually a group in Christendom today who call themsevles the Watchers which is very cult like.

If there are movies and TV shows already about a diabolical implant that provides certain functions, it will only makes people that much more comfortable with the idea of a device for communications under their skin which can enhance some abilities while sacrificing others.
