Legends theory doesn't hold any credibility because Paul wrote he spent 15 days with Peter, time with John and with James who gave the same eyewitness testimony in various group settings. Almost all scholars who do peer review journal work on the resurrection claim agree Paul really wrote 1 Cor. 15, Gal. 1 & 2. And some church fathers testify to knowing Peter, Paul and John personally receiving the same gospel message handed down which is the foundation by which the church has been built.
Therefore, you can be confident based on the gospel message that Bill Maher is as evil as Hitler in God's eyes because they both eternally reject God. That Bill Maher may not be the worse serial killer or rapist that ever lived makes no difference for they have one thing in common. They equally want to be eternally separated from the created of the universe. An eternal separation from God whether you were Stalin who killed 40 million, Mao who killed 60 million or Hitler who killed 30 million is still an eternal separation devoid of God's presence in the Lake of Fire.
