Arnold A. Penzlas who received the Nobel prize for discovering background radiation in the universe said,"The best evidence we have (concerning this big bang) are exactly what I would have predicted, had I nothing to go on but the 5 books of Moses, the Psalms, the Bible as a whole."Penzlas also said that some people are uncomfortable with a purposely driven creation, so they tend to speculate about things unseen.(March 2, 1978 New York Times)
The Nobel prize has been given also for the proof of the big bang by showing ripples in space-time.
Temperature variances predict the growth of the universe.
So quite convincingly, there is little doubt the big bang did happen 13.7 billion years ago. Allan R. Sandage (1926 - ), recepient of the 1991 Crawford Prize, discovered the 13.7 billion year date for the universe. He became a Christian at age 50. Sandage dertermined the value of the hubble constant. He said biology led him to Christ, "I am a Christian...life with all its order in each of its organisms is simply too well put together."
