UFO's and the Rapture

What is the purpose of UFO citings? Would it not be to put a negative spin on the rapture, to fabricate aliens abducting? So instead of God taking those who are ready to be received, it would be aliens from another planet. Then the world responds frantically against a further alien invasion, but this whole response is based on a mistaken assumption about why some people were raptured alive. And the Antichrist will unite the world in a global military effort to prevent an alien invasion. Either that or my imagination is getting the better of me. We Christians keep anticipating what scheme the Antichrist will use to deceive so that those believers who were not yet ready (Rev. 3.10, Luke 21.36) to be received who are left and pass through the Tribulation will be of some use in explaining what is really going on to give comfort this short time of deception will end and that Christ will appear shortly.
