After being logged in, click on http://biblocality.com/forums/images/aria/buttons/reputation.gif in the top right corner of your forum post to see your own reputation blessing points; for other members, use it to give reputation or take reputation away from someone based on your own reputation altering power.
Though Christians have no reputation in the world for those in the world are at enmity with God's children, there is reputation in the Church unto rewards. There is no reputation in the kingdom of heaven in this present dispensation (http://www3.telus.net/trbrooks/KKH.htm) either because some in the kingdom of heaven (the "tares") are unsaved. Therefore, they would not give an accurate representation of reputation either. Only those who are saved have an accurate representation of reputation, especially among discerning spiritual Christians or overcomers. Rewards are decided by God. Whatever God decides we are satisfied. Our best estimates of how God sees reputation are given below, with particular emphasis to Matthew 19.16-20.16 (do not legalize rewards (http://www3.telus.net/trbrooks/notlegalizing.htm)). God says our reward will be in this life and the life to come.
Know the rewards are in this life and the life to come. Do you keep the conduct of Matthew 5-7? Do you seek to reclaim the first love (Biblical locality) that was lost in the first century? Do you allow Apostles to have the authority to appoint Elders to take care of a Biblical locality? Do you have a meeting place within walking distance of your home that is under the correct Apostles? If not, why have you not started one?
Understanding Reputation Blessings
1) What is a point of "reputation-altering power"? And how does it differ from "reputation"?
- Whenever someone rates a post either x reputation points is subtracted or added to the reputation total. That x is called reputation altering power. So when a 2 year old member rates someone it has more influence then a new user rating the same post.
- Say you start off with 1 point
When you alter the reputation of someone else, you will give +1 or -1.
- Say you won an altering point.
When you alter the reputation of someone else, you will give +2 or -2.
- Say you are an admin.
When you alter the reputation of someone else, you will give +10 or -10. (Though an admin starts at 10 altering power, before he can get to his 11th altering power, he must earn it all the way from 0 like everyone else).
- Everyone has a reputation = total of reputation : it is your points of reputation, and it starts at 10 (this is not reputation power).
- Everyone has a reputation power = altering power (reputation altering power is not the total points of reputation): it is how much you can affect others' reputation (adding or subtracting). It starts at 0, and can only grow with register date.
Increasing altering power:
- For every X number of days, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power. X=365 (Register Date Factor)
- For every X number of posts, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power. X=1000 (Post Count Factor)
- For every X points of reputation, users gain 1 point of reputation-altering power. X=100 (Reputation Point Factor)
Limits to giving or taking away reputation:
- How many posts must a user have before his reputation hits count on others? Minimum Post Count=50
- How much reputation must a user have before his reputation hits count on others? Minimum Reputation Count=10
- What reputation level shall new users receive upon registration? Default Reputation=10. Make sure that you have a reputation level that is at least equal to or less than this value, otherwise you will not be able to use your reputation altering power.
- How many reputation clicks can a user give over each 24 hour period? Daily Reputation Clicks Limit=10. Administrators are exempt from this limit.
- How many different users must you give reputation to before you can hit the same person again? Reputation User Spread=20. Administrators are exempt from this limit.
Reputation and altering power given to Apostles and Elders:
- An Elder of a meeting place receives 100 points of reputation (thus, +1 altering power). An Elder of a locality receives 200 points (+2 rep power). And an Apostle of a region receives 300 points of reputation (+3 altering power). If you are an Apostle of a region and an Elder of a locality, you still only receive the 300 points of reputation. If you are an Elder of a locality and meeting place, you still only receive 200 points. If you were an Elder of a locality and then became an Apostle, you would receive another 100 points of reputation. 200 points more would be given if you were an Elder of meeting place, then God commissioned you to be an Apostle. An extra 100 points is received if you became an Elder of a locality when, before, you were an Elder of a meeting place. It is possible to lose one's direct commission to be an Apostle if one turns towards falsehoods and bad conduct (though salvation is eternal), just as one can lose their appointment as an Elder of a locality if their behavior or beliefs also falter, causing them to be removed from their office by an Apostle.
In either case, the reputation levels would be reset to the default level back to 10. It would be like starting from scratch. To lose the commission from God as an Apostle or the appointment as an Elder by an Apostle needs to have this effect since such authority should have never been forsaken. To lose an office due to repetitive negligence would be to lose both offices if both were held. Though salvation can not be lost, rewards can be lost. If, for whatever reason, an Elder or Apostle has to move or because of illness, this does not cause a loss of reputation. If an Elder in one class becomes the same Elder class elsewhere, they do not gain reputation. If an Apostle works regionally elsewhere, they do gain more reputation. And because of having to move, or whatever other reason, an Elder of a meeting place, also, would not lose reputation; nor would he or she gain reputation by being an elder of the same class in another Biblical locality.
Negative comments:
- Negative comments from non-admins will receive half this power, but positive comments from non-admins receive the full power effect.
2) Where can I view my reputation total points and my reputation altering-power?
- If you have for the first time, received or lost reputation when someone clicked on the http://biblocality.com/forums/images/aria/buttons/reputation.gif to judge your post, you will see your total reputation points on the first page of Your Control Panel in the Latest Reputation Received box.
- You can also see the general reputation level in your Profile and in your posts, but if you click on the scale in the posts, it will give you your own exact reputation points. In threads, you can also see the reputation altering power (Rep Power) in addition to reputation level.
- It will take some time before reputations build up. Initially, since everyone is starting off at a reputation altering power of zero, they can't make hits on other's reputations; there will just be comments then, but no affect on reputations. The quickest way to receive reputation altering power is to begin a meeting place for the body of Christ OR to receive God's commission if it is His will for your life to do the work of an apostle.
3) Additional Points (and some repetition of the above points)
- The comments you make will only be visible to the poster in their user control panel.
- Every time you agree or disagree with a post, your comment will appear in their user control panel. Each comment will either have a green icon (to show that the user agreed with your post), a red icon (to show that the user disagreed with your post) or a grey icon (where the user has no reputation power so is not a full member).
- A full member is one who has at least X number of posts and Y amount of reputation. X=50, Y=10. As soon as these variables are reached, the member receives their first reputation altering power.
- Everyone starts with 10 points (and zero altering reputation power) and one green icon associated with their profile. As they gain (or lose) points, their total increases or decreases and the number of green icons next to their profile changes. The more green icons there are, the more the user is respected by the authority of the apostles in the forum.
- You can read the latest 5 comments received in your User CP, but you can't read the latest 5 comments given.
- Each graphic block is called a "pip". You gain one new pip every 100 reputation points.
- Your current reputation level (see Attached Thumbnail below) = total reputation points received less those deducted.
