1. Was this religion started by one man?
2. Did he claim to have visions or see an angel?
3. Did he make prophetic claims and predictions that turned out false?
4. Did he write a different version of the Bible or other writings considered authoritative?
5. Do these other books contradict what the Bible teaches?

Take for example point 3 and the cult of Mormonism
Joseph Smith predicted that within a generation the New Jerusalem would be built in "west" Missouri. Never happened.

Take for example point 5 and the cult of Mormonism
Mormons believe they have heavenly parents. The Bible says no heavenly parents.

Mormons believe that Adam and Eve use to live in Missouri. The Bible mentions the Garden of Eden was next to the Tigris and Euphrates River (either Turkey or Iraq).

Joseph Smith said Adam was the archangel Michael. "Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?" (Heb. 1.14) This verse distinguishes angels from humans as spirits; men have bodies of flesh and blood. Humans can die, angels cannot. "But those who are accounted worthy to attain to that age and to the resurrection from the dead neither marry nor are given in marriage, for they cannot die any more, because they are equal to angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection" (Luke 25.35,36 RSV).

6. Does this person preach another gospel not found in the Scriptures but is made to seem so?
Take for example, John F. MacArthur. He is a Calvinist. He rejects all 5 points of OSAS Arminian. He refuses to repent and believe in Christ to be regenerated. So just like all these other cult adherents are going to Hell so is John F. MacArthur. What about William Lane Craig? He is a Remonstrant, not an OSAS Arminian or Calvinist, so he is going to Hell also because he believes once saved a person could still lose salvation just as the Roman Catholic Church teaches, that great harlot religious Rome.

You should not even call yourself an evangelical Christian. The Bible says don't say "I of Apollos" or "I of Cephas"; don't even say "I of Christ" the Bible says. In the 1830's was the "brethren movement". They distinguished themselves because they refused to be called anything else but Christians. This is in fact the Philadelphia church period. But do note a lot of cults rose up around this time to confound things.

How has Satan confounded things through Calvinism? Calvinism claims to be the reformation, but at the core of the reformation is justification by faith, not by irresistibly imposed salvation that Calvinists teach. Calvinists are going to Hell because they refuse to repent and believe in Christ to be regenerated.

Even Greg Laurie, mentioned in this video, is not a Christian... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUfjdriUZJQ.

If you believe Jesus is the brother of Satan, Satan wins.

"And no wonder! For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light" (2 Cor. 11.14).

"Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour" (1 Pet. 5.8).

Greg Laurie says God doesn't send anyone to Hell. A fan of Laurie said, "Hell was not made for humans." Billy Graham said you would still go to Heaven if you allegedly believe and kill yourself. Greg Laurie doesn't believe God kills. But of course God kills. His wrath is displayed all throughout the Bible. Apparently Laurie is teaching God does not hate and only loves. If God never hated (showed His wrath against sin) then the local flood in Noah's day would never have taken place. "God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day" (Ps. 7.11). "Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful" (Prov. 27.6).

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide the gate, and broad [is] the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait [is] the gate, and narrow [is] the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it" (Matt. 7.13,14).

The way represents our inner life. The gate is outward. Both groups are saved since it is speaking to believers. Destruction here can mean waste. Even if it means destruction it is only temporary. This passage is not talking to those who reject the Lord and are going to Hell. It is referring to rewards. Of all those saved a small fraction will receive the reward to reign in the millennial kingdom (1/7th as only the Philadelphia was an overcomer church). They have both a deeper inner Christian life (path) as well as conduct outwardly (gate) becoming of a believer.

So when you see all these people attend the Greg Laurie concert, of course some may be Christians but are deceived though most of course are not even saved.

[I][Rev 22:18 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mUfjdriUZJQ&t=22m18s)-19 KJV] 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.

A person alters the Bible like Joseph Smith with his New Translation or JW's with their World Translation so dramatically they do so which shows they were never born-again so they are going to Hell. It's the act of altering it so much so that shows they were never saved; they never believed in the true Jesus God the Son. They are not Christians that's why they alter the word so egregiously. It's the chicken and the egg thing. Which came first? Obviously what comes first is remaining an unregenerate and altering God's word. For Joseph Smith was never born-again ever. He didn't change things and then became unsaved. He was never saved to begin with.

[Psa 5:4-6 KJV] 4 For thou [art] not a God that hath pleasure in wickedness: neither shall evil dwell with thee. 5 The foolish shall not stand in thy sight: thou hatest all workers of iniquity. 6 Thou shalt destroy them that speak leasing [lies]: the LORD will abhor the bloody and deceitful man.

Notice it doesn't say God hates sin only, but the workers of that sin. I think what's happening is lots of people only want to see God of love and forget the other side against unrighteousness. One can appear to be loving when being unrighteous can then not? How can true love be loving without the commensurate response against unrighteousness?

The teenager in this video asked how can we have free will (must be defending something Laurie said) if He gives us free will to choose but then punishes us for so choosing. How can that be free will, she asks, if He allowed us to do something then blames us for it. Of course this makes no sense, for God still must respond righteously, blessing or punishing.

Greg Laurie said, "God did not cause 911 to happen." Of course He did. He allowed it to happen so in that sense He did cause it to happen. It is a judgment upon America and used the evil that is Islam to carry it out.

The preacher in this video is a bit off, because he says people were created for Hell. Well nobody was created for Hell, but people choose to eternally separate themselves from God. And God allows that. So the same preacher says, "The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil." (Prov. 16.4) This doesn't mean some people were born for Hell; rather, He made it so those who reject Him are going to Hell.

Greg Laurie preaches either that you don't got to Hell or you can be saved after going to Hell. But Hell is forever and ever for those who die without accepting the Lord Jesus.

Compare ...

"When the ram’s horn blows a warning,
shouldn’t the people be alarmed?
Does disaster come to a city
unless the LORD has planned it" (Amos 3.6 NLT)

with

"If a trumpet is blown in a city, will not the people be afraid?
If there is calamity in a city, will not the LORD have done it?" (Amos 3.6 NKJV)

"Cause", "done it" mean "planned it" in the sense He allowed this evil to take place to judge America. That's the proper way to look at it. This is only the beginning of judgement. The markets collapsed in 2002 and again in 2003 then again in 2007-9 in the midst of the housing collapse since 2006. Things have been propped up since then by printing money, but if you don't take the pain now, the pain later will be greater. What I imagine that pain to be is corporate profits will tank, housing will go down again, and a substantial terrorist attack on U.S. soil will occur soon.

"I form the light and create darkness,
I make peace and create calamity;
I, the LORD, do all these things." (Is. 45.7)

God is not saying here He creates evil in one sense, but calamity, bad times, disasters. He permits these occurrences of evil that produce calamity and uses that to judge. The author of this video seems to be supporting Calvinism, and that is the great heresy. How do you reconcile God is not the author of sin but that He creates evil? The way I understand it is He has His permissive will and will use that evil to judge and for good so in that sense He creates evil; certainly it is not irresistibly imposed so a person is born for Hell (that's the heresy of Preterition in Calvinism). That would be evil!

Video says Billy Graham is for abortion and is unwilling to say if a Muslim is saved or not. If this is true about Billy Graham then he is no better than Joel Osteen and they are both going to Hell. On his board of false Christians he includes Calvinists so how does he reconcile Calvinists not saved (indeed, they are not saved) with the belief God creates that is irresistibly imposed? He's got Dave Hunt on his board of unsaved also. Though Hunt is a pretrib rapture onlyist that is not enough reason to consider him unsaved. He is an OSAS Arminian so he is a Christian.

I can testify since Robert H. Schuller is not a Christian also since he says he is not sure if a Muslim who rejects Christ is saved or not. The savings ratio is probably no better than 1%.
