When was our Lord Jesus Christ crucified?

The Gregorian calendar date of Friday April 1, AD 33 (which corresponds to the Julian calendar date of Friday April 3, AD 33) has been proposed as the day our Lord Jesus Christ was crucified. In this study an attempt will be made to determine if this date is supported by the information found in the Bible. Before going into any detailed calculations, we first need to establish what the Bible teaches in regard to the timing of Jesus' crucifixion. We can establish three important facts from the Bible:

1) Jesus was crucified on the latter half of the 14th day of the 1st month (Nisan 14), the day the Passover was killed (Exodus 12:6 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Exd&c=12&v=6&t=KJV#6), John 18:28 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Jhn&c=18&v=28&t=KJV#28), 18:39 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Jhn&c=18&v=39&t=KJV#39), 19:14 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Jhn&c=19&v=14&t=KJV#14), Mark 15:25-34 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Mar&c=15&v=25&t=KJV#25))

2) Jesus ate the Passover (last supper) with his disciples on the evening of the 13th day (Luke 22:15 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Luk&c=22&v=15&t=KJV#15), John 13:1 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Jhn&c=13&v=1&t=KJV#1)), not the evening of the 14th day (John 18:28 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Jhn&c=18&v=28&t=KJV#28))

3) Jesus was crucified on a Friday, the day before the Saturday Sabbath (Luke 23:54 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Luk&c=23&v=54&t=KJV#54), John 19:31 (http://www.blueletterbible.org/Bible.cfm?b=Jhn&c=19&v=31&t=KJV#31))
