Subject: Jack McBride (see letter (http://www3.telus.net/trbrooks/Jack_McBride.htm))

To all concerned,

Do you think it is ethical and just to ban me let alone 4 years now from sanctioned tournaments in Alberta? (I am banned from the Alberta Racquetball Association, not the Edmonton Racquetball Association.)

I was physically attacked by Wayne Davidson (several witnesses were present) who also smashed in my driver's side car door in a fit of rage and was punched in the face by Dan McCullough (Cam Bourque witnessed this) many years ago at racquetball events. Wayne Davidson tried so hard to beat me at racquetball but he never could not even once. I think that was his frustration. The Edmonton Racquetball Association and Alberta Racquetball Association did nothing. People kept urging me on to take legal action, but I didn't. I noticed Wayne Davidson was playing in a tournament shortly after that.

[Cam Bourque challenged me to a fight over a dispute about some call on the court in 2009.] I also recall Marc the UFC fighter at the Mayfield Club threatening me with bodily harm after we talked about Christianity a few months ago. I spoke the truth underserving of such threats. And, of course, there is Barb who lied to protect her hide. I exposed her lying in 2009 so I get banned by Barbara May for exposing her. [After several months playing at the Mayfield in 2012, the manager of the club decided to ban me because of the Alberta Racquetball Association banning me so it all goes back to Barbara May and John Halko. God's justice is clear: God responds by banning John Halko from the Mayfield because it is being closed down permanently tomorrow Dec. 21, 2012. Of course, Halko and May are oblivious to the fact they are the object of God's wrath to be disbanded like those from the Tower of Babel (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tower_of_Babel).] Nobody from the ARA or ERA is willing to stand up for the truth by voicing their objection to this mistreatment and do God's will. It is disgraceful. Mostly everyone agrees with me that I talk with about it, but nobody in a position of power at the ARA or ERA is willing to be bold and stand up for what's right. Are you guys really that afraid of Gordon Cutting, Marc Caouette, John Halko, Barbara May or Gerry Slamko when he was on the board?

I don't know if I should take legal action, but I just might one day. I believe this is not only religious discrimination but an abuse of power by a non-profit organization.

What action should I take, legal or otherwise? If my hunch is correct Jack McBride (based on the wording of his letter (http://www3.telus.net/trbrooks/Jack_McBride.htm)) is attempting to get me banned from Racquetball Canada which will cut short my plans to play in 7 tournaments in 2013 (Precision Jan. 10 Regina, QC Selection Feb. 1, Saskatoon Classic March 15, Nationals Langley May, Saskatoon Open Oct. 19, Saskatchewan Open Regina Nov. 1, and Selection somewhere Nov. 23).

Ashton Duda #9 in Canada is my tracking guy whom I beat a month and a half ago in Regina which is good till Nov. 2013 which lasts 13 months. He is the 2nd ranked player in Canada 18 and under. I guess I should thank the ARA, ERA and Gordon Cutting for this since the Saskatchewan Open and Edmonton Open were held at the same time; Gordon Cutting removed me from the draw a few days after I registered in October for the Edmonton Open Nov. 1, 2012 so I went to Regina to play. Isn't God wonderful the way He allows things to turn out? I was blessed despite Gordon Cutting's every effort to try to restrict me. It's interesting too because Gordon Cutting lost to Gordon Porter (http://www.r2sports.com/tourney/drawsOut/drawOut.asp?divID=3&combinedID=0&TID=10297&chatRoomUserID=&link=../drawsOut/drawOut.asp) in a very close match in the first round of the Men's A division.

If I beat Ashton again on Jan 10th in Regina, I will be ranked 12th in Canada. I might have to settle with being ranked 34th in Canada, 3rd in Alberta just behind Mitch Brayley, just in front of McPhee, and 3rd in Canada 45+ when the rankings come out next before Jack McBride bans me. I really wanted to try to get ahead of the number one player in Canada 45+ who is Michel Gagnon at #29. I had dinner with him in Kelowna at the Selection Event, and in talking with him I think I would be able to take him. It's sad isn't it? Jack McBride's legacy is to get a Christian banned from Racquetball Canada.

As for the matter of junior development there is a reason there are no juniors in the top 100 in Canada from Edmonton, Sherwood Park or St. Albert. I know the reason why which you guys don't seem to understand. [I've explained the reason to Doug Jones.] They drop out because you are missing a key piece of the puzzle for junior development. Did you know as a kid growing up when I was 17 year old and won the Alberta Juniors for the free trip to the first Canadian Junior Nationals in 1985 in Saskatoon, the Alberta Racquetball Association forgot to enter me in the tournament for the team event? Yes, you guys make mistakes and you have, including banning me. I never received an apology. At 17 years old I was already ranked 35th in Canada so why are there no juniors today [in the top 100]? I only started playing at the age of 14. Not only that but I got a blister in my thumb, barely able to hold my racquet so I lost out in the quarters [or semi's?] of the first Junior Nationals in 1985 [to the person who won it]. I only played casually through the years after that and didn't even play in the next Junior Nationals when I was 18. I was more interested in getting my Bachelor of Commerce degree at the U of A after that - motivated in part by these turn of events. Junior development is a very sensitive matter. If you don't treat it properly it will slip through your fingers.

Some additional thoughts. Not only finances (e.g. court fees, travel expenses, hotel costs, entry fees, etc.) but injuries can be a major stumbling block like when my arm seized up for 6 months after I dove into the wall playing Joe Morin . I was never the same after that. I still have to [B]manage inflammation today because of it: no drive serving, play only once every 4 days, and no more than 5 games at a time. The reason I quit several times throughout the years (and more recently from 2001-2007 and 2009-2012) was because I didn't know how to manage the inflammation, but I have figured out how to do that now to keep it at a minimum. As a result, I have been really enjoying the sport and played in 4 events in 2012: two in Saskatchewan and two in Kelowna, British Columbia. I realized [B]there is nothing to be gained playing in Alberta tournaments anyway so it is not like John Halko and Barbara May are hurting me really. There is only Coby Iwaasa (11th in Canada) from Lethbridge who I don't think I will ever beat whom I assume will start playing on the IRT full-time after high school. And Mitch Brayley is only one ranking spot above me at 33 in Canada. I am 34th.

You can share this email with anyone. I'm an open book for the Lord.
