Revelation is the first half of the Tribulation. Why? Because the 1260 days of the Great Tribulation haven't started yet.
Rev. 8 hasn't started yet because Rev. 7.9 hasn't happened yet. No first rapture, no Tribulation. Satan reacts to the first rapture which is why His wrath comes and erects his Antichrist and False Prophet.
What you read in Rev. 8 was a nuclear blast, not the gulf oil spill. Now read Rev. 17.16. That nuclear blast is the Vatican.
Rev. 12 to 19 give the details of the major points of Revelation chapters 7 to 11.
God never said to create heaven on earth. It is God who Himself who will bring heaven and earth together after He returns and reigns on earth for 1000 years (Jude 14,15; Rev. 20.4-6).
The kingdom of heaven is in the believer, for we who are saved have come out of the world and have a foretaste of the New City. The kingdom of heaven is the conduct of Christ. Let us be Christlike.
Christians are not excited about Daniel's seven, but we know it will happen by Satan in reaction to the first rapture according to readiness (Matt. 24.40-42, Luke 21.36, Rev. 3.10).
Christians are not saying we are not to take responsibility for our lives. On the contrary, taking responsibility is accepting what Jesus did for us on the cross. The reason Jesus is returning Aug. 7, 2022 (http://biblocality.com/forums/list.php?category/97-2015-to-2022) is because over 10,000 children die every day needlessly due to starvation and other atrocities, but know He is returning for the sake of His elect. Man would almost destroy himself if Jesus didn't return. To accept reality you must accept this is the truth and have this proper attitude about it.

There is a thing called false humility, thinking you can solve the world's problems. You can't. This is arrogance. The reason why Jesus didn't stay when He was with us for 40 days after His resurrection is because people killed Him and didn't want Him here. So what He does is give us 2000 years to show us we can't do it on our own. We need Him. It is with this fearful and reverent attitude you can do good works in the world.
