Arnold A. Penzlas who received the Nobel prize for discovering background radiation in the universe said,
"The best evidence we have (concerning this big bang) are exactly what I would have predicted, had I nothing to go on but the 5 books of Moses, the Psalms, the Bible as a whole."
(March 2, 1978 New York Times)Penzlas also said that some people are uncomfortable with a purposely driven creation, so they tend to speculate about things unseen.

The Nobel prize has been given also for the proof of the big bang by showing ripples in space-time.

Temperature variances predict the growth of the universe.

So quite convincingly, there is little doubt the big bang did happen 13.7 billion years ago. Allan R. Sandage (1926 - ), recepient of the 1991 Crawford Prize, discovered the 13.7 billion year date for the universe. He became a Christian at age 50. Sandage dertermined the value of the hubble constant. He said biology led him to Christ, "I am a Christian...life with all its order in each of its organisms is simply too well put together."
