I don't think we can underestimate enough the nature of the evil spirit. Satan is called the great accuser. He accuses day and night (Rev. 12.10). He doesn't stop accusing falsely. He will never stop.
Every time you come across someone who accuses you of something falsely, it is right there in that person that he or she has the evil spirit working in them, because it is not God that accuses falsely. It is the person, being swayed by that evil spirit. Thus, the person becomes a pawn for that old dragon.
Even those who are saved can be deceived in being unkind by being an accuser. People seek to exalt themselves by being ignorant. Because they are unloving, they try to force themselves on other through the sin of bearing false witness in their judgmental false accusations. One really gets the sense they are trying to subjugate others unto them by this abusive behavior.
This vile spirit will even accuse of the literal truth. He doesn't care. Whatever it is that he can accuse of, he will do it. God gives us the precious blood that protects from even being accused of the righteous truth.
Fallen Lucifer has been doing this a long, long time. He will convince the world in his accusations against Israel too. It will come just to the brink of their destruction, and miraculously, they will be saved by the return of Christ in Person; then Satan will be cast into the pit for 1000 years (Rev. 20.2-3).
In the millennium, the nations will stop learning from Satan as they do now and learn from the Son of Man who will be reigning for 1000 years on earth.
