The Dispensations

Jesus lamented over Jerusalem "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that killeth . . . ", "Your house", "Till ye shall say". Only will they bless the Lord in the millennial kingdom after the Great Tribulation. In the meantime the wild olive branch is being grafted into the good olive tree (see Rom. 11.13-24). Isn't it amazing how historicalists can't accept this "till ye say" as being in the millennial kingdom to come, as only then the Jews then accept their Messianic Kingdom?

The Great Tribulation will mark the end of the dispensation of grace. Each dispensation has a similar conclusion to it: the dispensation of Innocence was concluded by the flood; the dispensation of Human Government, by the confusion of tongues; that of Promise, by the going down to Egypt; that of Law, by the Babylonian Captivity; and the dispensation of Grace, as was stated, will be terminated by the Great Tribulation; while that of the Kingdom will be ended by the old heaven and the old earth being consumed by fire.

The Captivity was the punishment for breaking the law in no small measure.
