How Do You Answer an Atheist or Agnostic?
There has always been the belief in agnosticism and atheism just as there has always been the belief in some kind of god. The Bible treats idols as gods and gods as idols so that as far as God's Word is concerned agnosticism and atheism would be worshiping and in communion with some god-idol, or as I prefer to say an idol god. This idol god they worship is in fact quite idle, that is, dull, boring and unrealistic given the sure proof of the 4 Step Proof for God of the Bible (http://www3.telus.net/trbrooks/perfectproof.htm).
So how do you handle an atheist and an agnostic when they tell you they don't believe in religion?
Simply ask them, Why do you believe in atheism or agnosticism then?
And that is all you need to say.
It works beautifully. Give it a try next time you hear someone say they don't believe in religion. We all need religion-worship-or we would die, otherwise, you would place no value on anything and just shrivel up. We human beings need to be driven with purpose and progress, not remain idle in idols.
